Wash the rice in cold water until it runs clear. This helps the rice cook up fluffy instead of sticky.
Soak the washed rice for 30 minutes to help each grain cook perfectly.
Drain the rice and transfer it into a small pot.
Add 3 cups water, bouillon cubes, and turmeric.
Bring everything to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and gently simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.
Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Set aside while you prepare the rest.
