Cheesy Pull apart Garlic Bread

Cheesy Pull apart Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 round loaf of bread Sourdough boule, or even a crusty cobb loaf. Just make sure it’s nice and round with a sturdy crust.
  • ½ cup melted butter 125 g The butter is what brings all that rich flavor and gets deep into every little crack.
  • 3 garlic cloves minced or pressed Fresh garlic is a must here.
  • 2 cups grated cheese 250 g Mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix of both. Honestly, the cheesier the better.
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley 8g Adds a pop of color and a little freshness.
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs 1g 1 g, optional – Think oregano, basil, thyme, whatever you’ve got.
  • ½ tsp salt 3g Just enough to bring out all the flavors.

Instructions

  • Set your oven to 350°F (180°C). You want it nice and warm so it can melt all that cheesy goodness just right.
  • Grab your loaf and a serrated knife (like a bread knife). Now carefully make deep crisscross cuts in the bread. Go almost all the way through but don’t cut the bottom. You want the bread to stay in one piece.
  • In a little bowl, mix together your melted butter, minced garlic, salt, chopped parsley, and Italian herbs if you’re using them.
  • Using a spoon or pastry brush, gently open up those bread cuts and spoon the buttery mixture into all the cracks. You want every bite to have some of that garlic butter magic.
  • Next comes the fun part. Grab your grated cheese and start packing it into the cuts. Go ahead, really stuff it in there!
  • Wrap your loaded loaf in aluminum foil. This helps it get all warm and gooey without burning.
  • Pop it in the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes.
  • After the initial bake, unwrap the foil and put the loaf back in the oven for another 5–7 minutes. This helps the top get golden and bubbly.
  • Take it out, let it cool for just a minute (if you can wait that long), and place it on a big board or plate. Then just let everyone pull it apart with their hands! No slicing needed, this bread is made for sharing.
