Cut the avocados in half, remove and discard the skin and pit. Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth. If you like your guacamole a little chunky, leave some bits intact.
Toss in the diced tomatoes, diced onion, and chopped jalapeno. If you’re adding cilantro, sprinkle it in now.
Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture. This not only adds zing but also helps keep your guacamole from turning brown too quickly.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Give everything a good stir until it’s all well combined.
Pair with tortilla chips and watch it disappear!
