Red White and Blue Jello Shots

Ingredients
  

For Blue Layer (Bottom)

  • 1 box of blue Jell-O berry blue is classic
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

For White Layer (Middle)

  • 2 packets of unflavored gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water for blooming
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk

For Red Layer (Top)

  • 1 box of red Jell-O cherry or strawberry work beautifully
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions
 

Make the Blue Layer (Bottom)

  • Boil 1 cup of water.
  • In a mixing bowl, pour in the blue Jell-O powder.
  • Stir in the boiling water until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  • Add 1 cup of cold water and stir to combine.
  • Pour into your shot cups, filling each about one-third of the way.
  • Carefully place the cups on your tray and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, or until completely set.

Make the White Layer (Middle)

  • In a small bowl, sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over ½ cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Meanwhile, boil 1 cup of water.
  • After blooming, pour the boiling water over the gelatin and stir until dissolved.
  • Stir in the whole can of sweetened condensed milk.
  • Let the mixture cool to room temperature before pouring it over the blue layer.
  • When it’s cooled carefully pour a layer of the white mixture over the set blue Jell-O, filling another third of the cup. Pop them back in the fridge for another 2-3 hours, until that layer is set too.

Make the Red Layer (Top)

  • Boil 1 cup of water.
  • In a mixing bowl, add your red Jell-O powder.
  • Stir in the boiling water to dissolve, then add 1 cup cold water.
  • Let it sit on the counter until it cools to room temp.
  • Carefully pour the red Jell-O on top, filling the final third of the cup. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 more hours, or overnight.

Serving Tips

  • Add whipped cream on top just before serving for an extra festive touch. A little squirt of Reddi-wip and maybe a blueberry or cherry on top?
  • Garnish with sprinkles or edible glitter if you're feeling fancy. It’s a party, after all!
  • Serve with tiny spoons or toothpicks for guests who prefer not to slurp them straight from the cup.
