In the bottom of your glass (or a small bowl if your glass is delicate), muddle the diced strawberries and mint leaves together. Just give them a good press so the juices and oils come out, you’re not trying to make jam here, just get things fragrant and juicy. Tip: If your strawberries aren’t super ripe, feel free to sprinkle in just a pinch of sugar here to help them release their flavor. Drop in your lemon slices and give them a gentle squeeze as they go in. If you like a stronger citrus taste, add a bit more. You can also use lime if you’ve run out of lemons.
Fill your glass about halfway with ice (or go full ice if it’s a scorcher out). It helps keep everything chilled and looks so pretty with the fruit floating around.
Grab your can of sparkling water or lemon-lime soda and pour it over everything. That fizzy sound is basically summer in a glass. Give it a gentle stir to mix the magic together.
Top with a strawberry slice or a sprig of mint. Even just one little piece of fruit makes this look so fancy.
