Valentines Day Pretzels

Valentines Day Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag of Pretzels (any small twist pretzels)
  • 3 oz pink candy melts
  • 3 oz red candy melts
  • 3 oz white candy melts
  • Sprinkles (hearts jimmies, nonpareils, or edible glitter)

Instructions

  • Set out a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper. This is where your dipped pretzels will rest and harden. You can also go ahead and separate your sprinkles into little bowls.
  • In three separate microwave-safe bowls, melt your pink, red, and white candy melts. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and creamy. Be patient and stir well, candy melts can burn if overheated.
Pro tip: If the candy melts seem too thick, you can add a tiny bit of coconut oil or vegetable shortening to help thin them out. Just a little, like ½ teaspoon at a time.
  • Dip each pretzel halfway or fully into your melted candy. Tap off the excess gently on the side of the bowl. You can drizzle a second color over the dipped pretzels with a spoon or fork for that extra fancy flair.
  • While the candy is still wet, sprinkle on your decorations.
  • Place all your finished pretzels on the parchment-lined tray, and pop the whole thing in the fridge for about 30 minutes, or until the candy is fully set.
