Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk whole milk works best, but any kind is fine
  • 1 tbsp white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2-3 drops red food coloring
  • Whipped cream
  • Red and pink sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam. Be careful not to let it boil, you want it warm, not scalding.
  • Add the white chocolate chips to the steaming milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and blended into the milk. This gives your hot chocolate a creamy, rich base.
  • Add the sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. This helps enhance the flavor and gives your drink a little extra sweetness.
  • Now for the fun part, add 2-3 drops of red food coloring. Stir well to evenly distribute the color. If you want a deeper red shade, add another drop or two. For a lighter pink, stick to just 1 or 2 drops.
  • Let the mixture heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep everything smooth and combined.
  • Remove from heat and pour your red velvet hot chocolate into a cute mug. Top it off with a big swirl of whipped cream, then sprinkle red and pink sprinkles over the top for that extra festive touch.
  • Take a sip and bask in the deliciousness of your homemade red velvet hot chocolate.
