Swiss Cake Roll Reindeers

Swiss Cake Roll Reindeer

Ingredients

  • 1 package 10-count Swiss Cake Rolls (you’ll need 2 packages total 20 rolls altogether)
  • Nutella or chocolate frosting for “gluing” everything in place
  • 40 small candy eyes
  • 20 small red candies like red M&M’s classic Rudolph vibes!
  • 10 large pretzel twists broken in half (for the antlers)
  • 20 wooden craft sticks like popsicle sticks

Instructions

  • Unwrap those Swiss Cake Rolls. Go ahead and take all the little guys out of their wrappers and set them on a clean surface. I like to line them up like little soldiers it makes the decorating part a lot faster.
  • Insert a craft stick into the base of each roll. Push it in gently but firmly. You want it nice and secure so your reindeer doesn’t slide off mid-bite!
  • Make the antlers. Take your large pretzel twists and carefully snap them in half. Don’t worry if they’re a little uneven real reindeer antlers aren’t perfect either! Insert one half into each side of the Swiss Cake Roll, right near the top.
  • Add the eyes. Dab a tiny bit of Nutella or chocolate frosting on the back of two candy eyes and stick them onto the Swiss Cake Roll, about two-thirds of the way up. If they’re a little wonky, it just adds to the charm.
  • Add the nose. Now for the star of the show Rudolph’s nose! Add a little frosting to the back of a red candy and press it just under the eyes.
  • Repeat for all your reindeer friends. Set them upright on a tray and admire your adorable herd!
