Valentines Day Marshmallow Pops

Valentines Day Marshmallow Treats

Ingredients

  • 36 large marshmallows
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white candy melts
  • ½ cup red candy melts
  • ¼ cup red heart sprinkles
  • 12 lollipop sticks or cute paper straws
  • Parchment paper this stuff is a lifesaver for easy cleanup

Instructions

  • Okay, first things first, grab your sticks or straws and gently slide on three marshmallows per stick. I like to leave a little breathing room between them so there’s space for all that yummy chocolate.
Tip: if your marshmallows are a bit sticky, pop them in the fridge for 5 minutes first, it makes them way easier to handle!
  • Toss your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, then melt them in 20-second bursts. Stir between each round to keep the chocolate smooth and creamy. If you’re tempted to rush it, don’t. Trust me, overheated chocolate goes from dreamy to dreadful real quick. Slow and steady wins the chocolate race.
  • Once your chocolate is silky smooth, grab a marshmallow stick and dip it in until all three marshmallows are covered. Give it a gentle swirl, let any excess drip off by tapping it against the edge of the bowl, and then place it on your parchment-lined tray. It’s totally okay if they’re not “perfect” that homemade look makes them even more charming!
  • Set your pops on the parchment paper and give them some time to rest while the chocolate firms up. You can leave them out at room temp for about 20 minutes, or pop them in the fridge.
  • Now the fun part, decorating! Melt your white and red candy melts in separate bowls, just like you did with the chocolate. Once they’re all melty and ready, drizzle them over the pops using a spoon or a piping bag. No piping bag? No problem. Just use a sandwich bag and snip the corner.
  • While your candy drizzle is still wet, sprinkle on those sweet little red hearts. They look so fun and festive, it’s amazing how a handful of sprinkles can totally transform a treat.
  • Patience time again! Let the chocolate and candy melts harden completely. This takes about 20 minutes on the counter or 10 in the fridge.
