Valentines Day Marshmallow Treats
Valentine’s Day at our house is all about the little things, handmade cards, heart-shaped pancakes, and yes… lots and lots of treats! If you’re anything like me, you love finding easy, festive snacks that don’t require much time. Bonus points if it gets the kids involved and leaves the kitchen (mostly) intact. That’s exactly why these Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Treats are my go-to!

These marshmallow pops are cute, super fun to make, and they always bring big smiles. Whether you’re planning a class party, surprising your kiddos after school, or just sneaking a little sweetness into your day, these are the perfect treat.
What You’ll Need to Make These Valentine’s Treats:
Makes 12 marshmallow pops (3 marshmallows per pop):
Ingredients:

Step 1: Stack Those Marshmallows
Okay, first things first, grab your sticks or straws and gently slide on three marshmallows per stick. I like to leave a little breathing room between them so there’s space for all that yummy chocolate.
Tip: if your marshmallows are a bit sticky, pop them in the fridge for 5 minutes first, it makes them way easier to handle!
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate
This part smells so good. Toss your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, then melt them in 20-second bursts. Stir between each round to keep the chocolate smooth and creamy.
If you’re tempted to rush it, don’t. Trust me, overheated chocolate goes from dreamy to dreadful real quick. Slow and steady wins the chocolate race.
Step 3: Dip and Swirl
Once your chocolate is silky smooth, grab a marshmallow stick and dip it in until all three marshmallows are covered. Give it a gentle swirl, let any excess drip off by tapping it against the edge of the bowl, and then place it on your parchment-lined tray.
It’s totally okay if they’re not “perfect” that homemade look makes them even more charming!

Step 4: Let Them Chill
Set your pops on the parchment paper and give them some time to rest while the chocolate firms up. You can leave them out at room temp for about 20 minutes, or pop them in the fridge.
Step 5: Time to Drizzle!
Now the fun part, decorating! Melt your white and red candy melts in separate bowls, just like you did with the chocolate. Once they’re all melty and ready, drizzle them over the pops using a spoon or a piping bag. No piping bag? No problem. Just use a sandwich bag and snip the corner.

Step 6: Sprinkle That Love
While your candy drizzle is still wet, sprinkle on those sweet little red hearts. They look so fun and festive, it’s amazing how a handful of sprinkles can totally transform a treat.
Step 7: Let Everything Set
Patience time again! Let the chocolate and candy melts harden completely. This takes about 20 minutes on the counter or 10 in the fridge.
If you’re planning to gift these or bring them to a party, this is a good moment to make a cup of tea and congratulate yourself for making something so adorable with basically zero baking.
Step 8: Serve, Wrap, or Sneak a Few
Once everything is set, your Valentine’s Day marshmallow pops are ready. You can:
- Line them up on a pretty platter for a party
- Wrap them in cellophane bags with a cute ribbon for classmates or coworkers
They also make the cutest dessert table addition. Honestly, I’ve used them as place settings before, just stick a little name tag on and boom: edible name card!

They’re also totally customizable. Don’t like chocolate? Use pink candy melts for the whole pop. Want to go wild with the toppings? Add mini M&Ms, crushed graham crackers, or colored sugar. The sky’s the limit.
So grab your marshmallows, melt that chocolate, and make some memories. And if a few pops disappear before they make it to the party? Well… that’s just quality control.
